Baird has boen appointed foreman at tho Success mines on Duck creek, controlled by Senator Thomas Kearns and David Keith of Salt Lake, and loft yesterday in company with Manager D. C. McDonald to assumo tho duties connected with his new position. Mr. Baird has had years of oxperionco in mining, and all his knowledge of tho business is practical. For tho jnst three years he Las been mining in the southern country, and now owns a valuablo group of claims at Phonolite, says tho Elv Expositor.
