Byington and David II. Jones, Judges at the recent election in tho llrst Hooper district, came to Ogden and spent the day on a reennvass of the returns, to which thoy added the straight votes ln each case. While It Is conceded that tho Commissioners have no right to go Into the ballot boxes. It Is the general opinion of the legal fraternity that where the Judges come forward and are willing to make affidavit that they made an error and are willing to state under onth what that error was. the votes should be counted. The Judges will certify to tho nmended returns and they will likely bo accepted by tho board.
