Show Some New Talent for Bingham Con. Hesig-nation of General Superintendent Superintend-ent Folowed by Appointment N 1 of Two Others. After five years as the general superintendent super-intendent of the Bingham Con.'s system sys-tem of producers at Bingham, and during dur-ing which period he has achieved results re-sults of which the master-minor only is capable, Robert W. Rodgera has sought his own release and In January, at which time his resignation, so reluctantly reluct-antly accepted by Manager MacVlchie, takes effect, ho will give his attention to personal undertakings. As IiIej successor, suc-cessor, Charles L. Lawton, an expert mining man and mining engineer of much experience, has been designated. Mr. Lawton Is now In the State and with his predecessor will begin at once to familiarize himself with conditions at the Dalton & Lark group, lo which big cluster of mines his Jurisdiction will be confined, the Commercial group to be under the superintendence' of Felix McDonald. The position of "general" superintendent Is accordingly abolished, with tho responsibilities that formerly dovqlvcd upon that position to be shared by two mine superintendents. Mr. McDonald Mc-Donald Is also one who has won his spurs underground as has he the promotion pro-motion and tho place to which he has been advanced by the management. In the voluntary retirement of Mr. Rodgers the management feels that It has sustained an acute loss. Under his administration, Intelligent and progressive, progres-sive, many changes have been wrought in the' company's Bingham estate. Taking Tak-ing hold of the Dalton & Lark when its condition underground was almost hopelessly chaotic, ho has restored order, or-der, reopened the ledges, added vastly to the resources of the company and retires re-tires from it at a period) that cannot but earn for him the most liberal praise. Capt. MacVlchie, under whose management manage-ment all this has been accomplished, was visibly affected at the loss of Mr. 'Rodgers, who has generously consented to remain until those who shall succeed him at the mines have been properly and Intelligently initiated. |
