James J. Corbctt, the former heavyweight heavy-weight champion, Is endeavoring to secure se-cure the feather-weights to meet In a limited round bout. He has made the fighters an offer, which they have under consideration, and It is very likely that it will be accepted. ac-cepted. Bids for the Hanlon-McQovern bout closed a week ago, but as the San Francisco clubs did not have time In which to play their offer, additional time was given to the promoters. No bid has been accepted yet and It looks as though It will either be St, Louis or San Francisco, that gets the bout. Philadelphia and Chicago are barred, as the fighters have agreed to fight fifteen fif-teen or twentj- rounds: Jim Corbett was never busier than he is right now. Corbett isn't letting the grass grow under his feet in organizing his club. He is doing business with Frank Tate, and if there Is no slip up. the bouts Jim intends in-tends bringing off will be decided In the Coliseum. "Some of St. Louis's best citizens are interested with me In establishing a boxing club and giving monthly shows in the Coliseum," declared Corbett in his dressing-room at the Highlands Saturday night.
