Show ANNEX TO DOOLY BLOCK IS ASSURED One of the most important real estate deals recently made In Salt Lake City was consummated yesterday In the filing fil-ing of a deed which conveys from the Strevell-Pnterson Hardware company to John E. Dooly the vacant ground, 55x165 feet, just west of the Dooly block on West Second South street. The consideration Is $19,250, or nearly $400 a front foot. The most Important fact In connection connec-tion with the transaction Is that It means another creditable business block for Second South street. Mr. Dooly will build at once on tho ground a substantial substan-tial structure for the especial use of the Mine and Smelter Supply company, which has outgrown Its present quarters quar-ters on East First South street. It Is the Intention to have completed by December De-cember 1 next at least three floors of the new building, which will be ultimately ulti-mately six or seven stories and 55x140 feet. It will be constructed of cut stone, pressed brick nnd steel and will be modern In every respect. Mr. Dooly said last night that bis building plans had not been fully decided de-cided upon, except that operations would be begun as soon as possible, probably by July 1. Only the fact that the work was being started so iate In the season, he said, would deter hlrn from building at least six stories at once, but on this nccount he might attempt at-tempt to finish only three stories this fall. The building will probably be in the form of an annex to the present Dooly block. |
