GOV. WELLS SAYS FAIR IS NOT READY Gov. Hcbcr M. "Wells arrived homo yesterday yes-terday from St. Ixuls, where ho assisted in opening tho great fair. The Governor, while thoroughly Imbued with tho Idea that this exposition will reproscnt the acme of success In the exposition Hold, was nevertheless considerably surprised at Its incompleteness at tho time of tho opening. He says that It will be fully six weeks yet before everything will bo In shape, and Intending visitor should be in no hurry to make their pilgrimages In that direction. In this connection the Governor Gover-nor was gratified to find that Utah was ahead of most of tho other Statc.i in having hav-ing Its exhibits in place, It having been cbmpicto at tlio opening with the single exception of tho educational feature It is believed that this State's record in this respect will count In her favor In the making of the awards.
