The game wua lively and interesting, despite the one-sided naturo of tho scoro. T!iO players play-ers of both teams wero up on theiv toes throughout tho entire gamo, and worked with all their might and mnin until tho last man was out. Tho game was ehar-acterled ehar-acterled by long hits and sensational baso running. The Preps, played their best gamo of the season yesterday. Tho basemen lleldcd the ball to' good advantage, while tho Holders seldom failed to gobble up any long Hies which camo out In their territory. The Preps aleo had on their batting clothes, and touched up Pitcher Owon for nlnetoon safo hits. Davles. Piatt, Moore, Taylor and Settle helped pile up the score by their timely hitting. Each of the above-named luive ono homo run credited to their batting records. Piatt pitched a fine game, holding tho Collegians down to ten safe hits and striking out six men. Tho Collegians put up an Interesting game of ball, and what they lacked In playing they made up by coaching and extraordinary enthusiasm. Tho Collegians are continually Improving their playing, but they still lock the ability to cling together at critical moments. During most of the game they held tho Prep.s. down pretty well, but overy now and then when a few men got on 'bases a wild throw or rank error was bound to result. And the Collegians seldom recovered before be-fore four or five runs wcro tallied against them. The Collegians need some belter fielders, but their basemen aro rapidly Improving, and yesterday they executed a couple of neat doubles. LIno-up: All Hallows. U. of U. Preps. Curran c Spltho Owens.
