Show Railroad Notes. T. M Schumacher, traffic manager of the Oregon Short Line, left In company with J. D. Slubbs and party for Denver nnd Omaha on Sunday. D. S. Cutter, general livestock agent of the Chicago & Northwestern railroad, who Is at present ln Denver, is expected by the end of this week. E. J. Seymour, assistant general freight agent of tho Chicago & Northwestern, and D. U. Hoops, general ngent of the road ln Denver, are making a tour of Inspection Inspec-tion of tho Western offices of the Northwestern, North-western, and will he passing through Salt Lake shortly on tholr way to San Francisco. Fran-cisco. Good reports arc coming up from the wool camps again and rapid progress Is being made with shearing. Prices are 'somewhere around 13 cents and quality continues to bo reported very fine this year. Nearly one-half of the total business busi-ness In "Utah ha been rushed through.' and buyers and freight men will soon be making tracks for Idaho. G T. Vallory, general agent of tho Burlington Bur-lington at Denver, hns put himself on record to tho effect that tho Western rules lo St. Louis will bo lowered later on in tho season. Local men say that they aro already as low hero as they can reasonably reason-ably bo expected to come, but If Denver g'cts a reduction Salt Lakers may rest as-flurcd as-flurcd that they will not be loft out. The Jurisdiction of W. II. Kennedy, chief engineer of the Oregon Railroad & Navigation company, and of F G. Wheeler, Wheel-er, purchasing agent, has been extended over tho Southern Paclllc lines In Oregon. L. II. Sill, freight agent for tho Oregon Short Lino at Mackay, has gone to Pepin, Wis., with his wife, for a two montha' vacation. |
