Smith, general master foreman of eonstructlon of the Western Union Telegraph company, is inspecting the line between Callentes and Salt Lake Cltj with a view lo noting the requirements for a new cupper wire which the AVestcrn Union has started to string from Daggett, Ariz., to Salt Lake City.
