king lillionaire Recovering Reason When Mind Is Restored, Litigation . Over His Property Will Be Renewed. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 3. Moses Fowler Chase is rapidly recovering his reason. The young riillllonalrc . is an Inmate of Dr, Sterne's sanatorium, sana-torium, "The Norways," in this city. He was placed there after the United States court had passed on the legal controversy between his father and his uncle and aunt, air. and Mrs. Charles Duhme of Cincinnati, for possession of him and his valuable estate. When young Chuse was first put In the hospital, attendants way that his mind was almost a complete, blank. One day he described lo a nurse, a fanciful fanci-ful parade- of whales which he declared he had witnessed once on the coast of France. The whales, he said, were fifty feet long. They came out In pairs and walked up and down the beach, bowing to admiring women and "children. After treatment by Dr. Sterne the young millionaire began to have lucid Intervals. In the last few weeks these have been recurring more and more frequently, and Dr. Sterne has told a physician In this city that it Is only a question of time until the young man recovers his reason. Lawyers familiar with the young man's state say that If he Is cured tho controversy for his money must be renewed re-newed In the courts again. It would mean that Chase's guardianship would be dissolved and tlat the young man would come Into possession of his ow,n property, which he fnherlted from his mother and his maternal grandfather.
