Corset Steel Saves Life of Young Woman Two Men Fight Pistol Duel on the Street, Bullets Miss Mark, but Strike Girl. MADISON. Ind., May D. Miss Lulu Harris was struck by a stray bullet today on the street In 'this city, but escaped injury because the projectile was stopped by a corset steel. Her flesh was only bruised, and the bullet was flattened. Bad blood had existed for some time between Walter Kahn and Charles Gale, young men, and when they met on the street this afternoon, they promptly opened lire on each other. Neither was hit, the four or five shots firing going wild, and It was one of these that hit Miss Harris, who was at least half a block away. Both young meiv were arrested and taken before Justice Grayson, who held them in $500 bond each to appear for trial tomorrow.
