Mr. De Kalb in due time reached Salt Lakt, and was at once struck with the beauty of the city, its magnificent surroundings, its grand situation as an inter-mouriiaiu depot of supplies, nnd its truly delightful climate. Looking about him, be soon come to the conclusion that this was the place in which to invest, nnd he was no' long determining to make Salt Lake his future home.
