I'niler Advisement. O'Brien, the Salvotionist, was examined exam-ined before Justice Laney this morning. O'Brien admitted having had the drum beaten Sunday evening along Main street, but claimed that it was done for God. Ho also set up in defense that beating the drum was tbe Salvationists' way of summoning people to their place of "worship, and that it was no worse than ringing bells, the method adopted by other relig ous denominations. The case was hold open under advisement and O'Brien permitted to go on his own recognizance.
