Protection at Sea. London, April 16. The incidents connected with the disabling of the City of Paris and the conduct of the Adriatic have renewed tho question of the law relating to giving assistance to vessels iu distress. - The recent decision of t he Lords affirmed af-firmed the law that a vessel is not justified justi-fied in deviating from her course for the purposo of saving property, and may do so only when it is a direct ques tiou of saving life. A bill will now bo proposed which shall render it imperative to any steamer steam-er to give assistance to a distressed vessel, even if life is not iu immediato peril. . , .
