Show Strange Case op Insanity. On Thursday, says the Flacer Herald, (Cal.) of Jan. 21st, a man got off the irain from tho cast at Clipper Gap, showing signs of derangement, and, growing worse, attempted to drown himself in tho Bear river ditch, but was pulled out and saved. Constable Cogswell was sent for, and stayed with him at the Cap that night and brought him hero yesterday. On Thursday night he raved and talked that the Masons were after him and were going to kill him. Yesterday ho was quiet and stupid, showing indications of having hav-ing been drugged. Ho had $$b in greenbacks and a check for $2o0, and other papers, bills of goods, etc., showing show-ing him to be a merchant of Boise city, Idaho Territory. His namo is Henry Hoseberg. He is now in official bands and his money and papers are in Hubbard Hub-bard ifc Andrews' bank, so that he and i his will bo well and safely provided for. ' |
