SCHOOL BUILDINGS Summer Improvements and Repairs New Site Question At a meeting of the board of education educa-tion committee on buildings and grounds yesterday morning D P An derson was appointed to inspei the cement work on the large annex to the Emerson school building The commit tee decided also to open bids for the heating and ventilating apparatus for the new bulldin on Monday the 26th mat at 10 a m Last evening another meeting of the committee was held when the matter of making general repairs to the school buildings during the summer vacation was considered It was decided to recommend rec-ommend to the board the expenditure of about J5500 for calcimining paint ng plumbing and othec necessary repairs re-pairs under the direction of Buildings Inspector Planes Chairman Wilson and Mr Newman were delegated to arrange a date with he city council committee on public grounds to renew negotiations toward an exchange of unused school sites for the citys 12x12 rods at the corner of State and North Temple streets on vhich to erect the proposed twenty class room school building to relieve time pressure in the north central part cC the city It Is probable that the joint committees will get together on Mon day
