DEGREE FOR N CAMBON I Will Be Conferred Upon Him By Howard University Washington June 15The French ambassador M Camber is about to receive from the University of Harvard the degree of LLD in recognition of the distinguished public services he performed in th negotiations which restored peace between the Unite States and Spain Harvard has conferred this degree on President Cleveland Secretary Bayard and other noted public men but this is probably the only Instance in which the ambassador of a foreign power has received such a distinguished honor from a leading American university The ambassador will go to Boston on the 20th and later will be escorted to Harvard by Governor Wolcott and other leading state officials The conferring I con-ferring of the degree occurs on the 2Stlu
