BRYANS TRIBUTE TO BLAND Death a Loss to the Party and to the Country Chicago June 15W J Bryan I speaking today of the death of Richard I PBland said I was associated with Mr Bland for the four years I spent in congress and of him I can speak only In the highest terms He was as good a friend as he was a public man He was a man of perfect integrity whose public career of twentyeight years has been remarkably re-markably free from error During his career In congress there was no speech or vote of his which can be criticised by members of theparty to which he belonged His death is i a great loss to the party and to his country Mr Bryan stated that if possible he would go to Lebanon to attend Mr Blands funeral
