Show SCOTT AND GREG MOON Eagles In Belgium Scott Moon. 14 and Greg Moon, 16. sons of Lt. Col. Leonard and Delores Moon, former Farmington residents, received their Eagle Scout Awards in a ceremony at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium. THE AWARDS were presented pre-sented to the two Eagles by Air Force four star General William Wil-liam Y. Smith, chief of staff at SHAPE. Both Greg and Scott were born in Bountiful, Utah, and at that time their parents were residents re-sidents of Farmington. Most of the boys merit badges and advancements adv-ancements were accomplished in troops 283 and 3(H) in Farmington, Farm-ington, Utah. The family has lived in Georgia, Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio, Utah, Italy Ita-ly and Belgium. GREG EARNED 26 merit badges and for his Eagle project, pro-ject, he led his troop in painting the backstops and fencing around the little league baseball base-ball park. Scott earned 29 merit badges and for his Eagle project, pro-ject, he led his troop in building a bus stop bench for the shopping shop-ping center, and painted the dug outs at the baseball field. ADDITIONALLY, Greg was named to the all conference confer-ence high school basketball team, for the American schools in Europe, and Scott placed fourth in his weight class in the All-Europe Junior Wrestling Championships. |
