Show Highway Projects Slated In Davis OGDEN - One highway construction project is underway under-way and another is in the planning plan-ning stage in Davis County as part of an ongoing improvement improve-ment program for District One (northern Utah) of the Utah Department of Transportation. Transporta-tion. MORE THAN $35 million is being earmarked for highway construction during fiscal year 1981-82, beginning July 1, with another $6 million planned in state rehabilitation projects in District One that are presently on the drawing board. The project that is underway and expected to be completed during next fiscal year is the Interstate Highway 15 Interchange Inter-change at Antelope Drive between be-tween Layton and Clearfield. This project is estimated to cost $3,625,460. THE ONLY project involving involv-ing highway construction in Davis County is the resurfacing resurfac-ing of U.S. Highway 89 from Lagoon Interchange to a mile north of Farmington. This project pro-ject is presently in the design stage, according to highway officials. The largest single project planned for construction next fiscal year is a 15.5-miles of Interstate Highway 15 from Tremonton to Plymouth, to cost an estimated $30 million, or nearly one-half million dollars dol-lars per mile. ANOTHER project of interest, in-terest, costing an estimated $1.5 million, will be improvements improve-ments from the mouth of Weber We-ber Canyon to the Mountain Green Interchange. This project pro-ject will be advertised this fall for construction to begin next spring. |
