Show Now Studying In Mexico City and Mrs. Edward Vandivere of Bountiful, is living with a Mexican Mex-ican family as part of her six-week six-week trip. She is involved in an intensive Spanish program at the Mexican North-American Institute. She is also attending a general Mexican civilization culture course taught by Dr. Joel C. Hancock, associate professor of languages at the U. and director of the trip. An English major who plans to earn a doctorate before teaching at a small college, she will visit archeological sites, museums, marketplaces, cathedrals and churches in addition to studying cultural books, novels, plays and essays. SCHOLARSHIP winners were required to complete five quarters of Spanish (or equivalent) equiva-lent) and four honors courses by the end of the spring quarter. quar-ter. Upon completion of a project pro-ject and directed reading, Vandivere may receive up to ten credits. She has chosen to study Mexican literature for her project.
