Show West Bountiful lyhocks are in their most colorful color-ful condition. The phlox are outstanding, and the golden yarrow (used by the pioneers as an herb), and the petunias and marigolds are doing their best to make for a beautiful world. It seems that this time of the year is when families get together in family reunions. The Earl Arnolds are going to have an extended family get-together. get-together. Robert and w ife Rebecca Re-becca and family are coming down from Cheyenne. James and family will come from Logan. On July 1-3. Earlene Smith and husband will join the entire family at Colter Bay. close to Jackson in the Tetons. Those jivho are able will attend the Mormon Pageant at Manti in July also. ALICE MITCHELL 295-1156 This is the time of the year when weeds take such a prominent prom-inent place in our lives. We see weeds in our yards, along the sides of the road, and especially especial-ly in our garden areas. Ironically, Ironic-ally, these weeds put forth pretty blossoms when they are growing to maturity. The White Dutch clover has a small white bloom with a sweet odor, which is loved by the bees. The clover in the fields produces a colorful yellow bloom. Then there is the mustard mus-tard weed with its yellow blossom, blos-som, and the pesky Morning Glories, which entangle themselves them-selves among other growing things. Their white flowers are quite beautiful to behold. Also growing at a rapid rate are the wild lettuce weeds and others. It is well to try to rid the world of the weeds, but it is also true that one should look for the beauty in nature all around us. People who live in the area called the Wasatch front are missing much when they don't look to the beauty of the mountains, to the outstanding out-standing configurations of the clouds, and observe the various va-rious hues of the sky. The sunsets sun-sets and the sunrise each day are worth the attention of all people in this part of the creator's world. Now is the time of the year when the hol- |
