' :i x 3 -v A- if Is Finalist f 4 '",;? ifeX v? i I Miss Lori Jaques, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jaques, Bountiful has been selected to be a state finalist fin-alist in the 1981 Miss United Teenager Pageant to be held at the UofU at 7:30 p.m. July 22, 1981. The Pageant is the official offi-cial state-wide finals for the Miss United Teenager Pageant. CONTESTANTS FROM all over the State will be competing compet-ing for the title. All contestants are between the ages of 14 and 18 and must have at least a "B" average in school. They . are requested to participate in the Volunteer Community Service Program of the Miss United Teenager Pageant. Through this program many youngsters are becoming involved in-volved in community activities by contributing at least eight hours of time to some worthwhile worth-while charity or civic work of their choice. The w inner of the State Finals Fin-als of the Miss United Teenager Teena-ger Pageant will receive an all-expense all-expense paid trip to compete in the National Finals, a three phase pageant in Hollywood, Calif., Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C.; where she will conpete for $15,000 in cash scholarships, a new automobile auto-mobile for her reigning year, $5,000 appearance contract, $2,000 wardrobe and other awards. LORI JAQQUES CONTESTANTS will be judged on scholastic, civic achievements, beauty, poise, and personality. No swimsuit competition is required. Each contestant will write and recite on stage a 100 word essay on the subject, "My Country." MISS LORI Jaques is sponsored spon-sored by Bountiful Motors Body Shop, Russon Mortuary, Frank's Clothes, and Orchard Drug. She was a student at Woods Cross High, and graduated this year. HER HOBBIES include fishing, hiking, singing, and photography. |
