Show SiotG SquIdos cniGO Fraij Former councilman, president of $300 Million Dollar Corporation Roden (Rod) Shumway of Bountiful was named president of State Savings and Loan Association and manager of the Utah division at the annual meeting meet-ing of the financial firm on Jan. 29. HE SUCCEEDS J. Ralph Brown who was named to the newly created post of Chairman Chair-man of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of both the Utah and Hawaii divisions. Del K stoker was named Executive Vice President of the Utah division. STATE Savings has fourteen four-teen offices in Hawaii and eight in Utah with total assets ol nearly 300 million dollars. In his annual report to stockholders. Mr. Brown stated 1975 results broke all records of the business for growth and profits. Fifty-seven million dollars in new mortgage loans were made and savings deposits increased by 39 million. He expressed optimism Jor another banner year on 1976. MR. SHUMWAY has been in the financial world all of his adult life having started at Walker Bank after graduation from USU at Logan, and then becoming executive vice president of the Pioneer Savings Sav-ings and Loan where he was a manager until he joined American Savings when Pioneer merged with American.
