THOSE approvals affecting he Bountiful area were as jllows: Preliminary plans for the ddition of a kitchen and food ervice facility, a new faculty oom, a restroom and a new ffice to the Bountiful Jementary School at an es-mated es-mated cost of $400,000. PRELIMINARY plans to dd two major units to the ist side of Woods Cross High ill enable the school to "come a full high school by the state of the 1977 school year. The additions would be for science, business education, auto shops and graphics. The cost of these additions is $2.4 million. THE BOARD approved the recommendation from district dis-trict finance officer Lewis Beck to sell $4 million in bonds to pay for the projects. An exact date for the sale was not set but is expected to be in March or April. This sale would be part of the $18 million in bonding authority granted the board by voters last year. THE SCHOOL calender for next year was undecided as members of the board were unable to decide whether Easter vacation should be Thursday and Friday, or Friday and Monday. The board also opened bids for six new regular buses and two designed especially for handicapped. LOW BIDS of $25,935 for the regular, and $27,195 for the special buses were turned in by Bryson Sales and Service of Bountiful. Several local high schools also received approval for their forensic teams to compete com-pete in a tournament in Tempe, Arizona. , |
