Show Davis Jobs Increase The labor force in Davis, Weber and Morgan counties has increased by about 5,000 jobs during the past year, according ac-cording to a report from the Wasatch Front North District of Utah Employment Service. THE MONTHLY report that covers activities in the three-county area, noted that about 4,420 of the new jobs are in non-agricultural fields, with most of them being be-ing in trades and services. However, there has been a growtn of new jobs in virtually vir-tually ah segements of employment, the report stated. stat-ed. SERVICE industry led the group with 1,280 new jobs since last fall. Trade-related jobs showed an increase of 90; manufacturing, 710; government, 610; transportation, transporta-tion, 350; and construction, 280. Finance-related jobs accounted ac-counted for about 200 new jobs and the mining industry added about 100. UNEMPLOYMENT also took a sharp drop in September, Sep-tember, largely because of the start of school and the opening of new full-time jobs. Unemployment in September was placed at 5,380, about . 3,000 less than Augusfcand 240,, less than the same month a -year ago.
