Show Wedding Bells Ring Out forVerlaPearce Vows were recited Saturday evening at the New Harmony Ward chapel by Miss Verla Pearce of New Harmony, and Richard Cripps of Cedar City, uniting them in marriage. Officiating Offic-iating was Lyle B. Prince, member mem-ber of the Cedar Stake High Council. The bride Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Pearce and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. Cripps. Immediately following the wedding ceremony, which wasl attended by members of both) families and close friends, the: young couple were honored at a reception al the New Harmony j Ward chapel. I The bride was attired in a , gown of white lace over taffeta j of ballerina length. A veil of bride's illusion cascaded from a crown of seed pearls to fingertip length and the bridal white was accentuated by a bouquet of red rose buds. Attending the Lrlde was Avey Davis, sister, as matron of monor; Miss Carmen Condie.was maid of honor and Carileen Sherratt was bridesmaid. They were dressed in gowns of pink and held bouquets bou-quets of dark pink. Flower girl was Debra Cripps, a niece of the bridegroom. Gary Cripps, brother of the grora. stood as best man. A program was presented with Hale Pearce serving as master of ceremonies. Miss Condie entertained enter-tained with a vocal solo; Bess Schmutz presented a reading; Emil Dostelak played an accordion accor-dion solo; Mrs. Davis sang a vocal solo and Viola Kelsey, gave a reading. Advice to the couple was given by Antone Prince. I Dancing followed th program. I At the guest book were Gay-ileen Gay-ileen Woolsey and Myrl Stones I and Kay Lynn Hirschi and Cheryl Hirsch'i, carried the gifts. Serving were Donna Jean Webster, Lana Spevak, Brenda Huntsman, Lynn Grimshaw, and assisting in the gift room were Sharon Grant, La-Rue La-Rue Blake, Annabella Rencher, Helen Bleak and Zetta Worthen. In the kitchen were vada Grant, Venice Prince, Cleone Hirschi, and Fern Kleinman. The couple left for a honey- I -" ! The bridegroom is Richard Cripps of Cedar City and the bride is the former Miss Verla Pearce of New Harmony. Both were students stu-dents at the Cedar City High School this past school year and Cripps was a member of the graduating class. He was prom-iinent prom-iinent In athletics at the school. |
