Show Salt Lake Temple Rites Unite Young Couple ! In marriage rites solemnized inwore a gown of lace and tulle the Salt Lake L D S Temple on Friday morning. Aug. 17 Miss Vivian Van Leuven of Provo became be-came the bride of Val Matheson Holyoak of this city, who has been attending school and work-ing work-ing in Provo for the past several years. ' The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Van Leuven of Provo, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen S. Holyoak of Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Van Leuven were hosts at a reception in honor of 1 the newly married couple on Saturday evening. Aug. 17 in the new University Ward chapel in Provo. Greeting guests besides the new Mr. and Mrs. Holyoak and their parents were Mrs. Mar- ,llyn Stubbs, sister of the bride, 'as matron of honor, and bridesmaids, brides-maids, Wlnon Holyoak, sister of 'the groom; Linda Harris, Sandra j Weitzel, Helen Blackburn and j Beth Davis. I Standing as best man for the groom was his brother, Owen . Holyoak. For the reception the bride underscored with satin and lace t panels enhanced the full skirt. jThe lace bodice was styleJ with jlong tapered sleeves and small lace collar. Her finger-tip veil jwas caught in a crown of se-'qins se-'qins and seed pearls ' and her bridal bouquet was of yellow ! roses and white carnations. The bridesmaids wore full I skirted summer dresses of yellow ,with white accessories and carried car-ried nosegays of yellow and white carnations. I Following the reception at Provo Pro-vo they newlyweds spent a short honeymoon at the Utah Parks and will be here this week end .where an open house will be held in their honor at the Holy- 'oak home Friday night, Aug. 24 i where they will greet friends and relatives from this area. ' The bride graduated from the I Provo High School this spring -I and the groom is a graduate of I the Parowan High School and the Central Utah Area Vocational Vocation-al school at Provo. Both are employed em-ployed at the Barblson at Provo land they will make their home ' In that city. Attending the reception at Provo Pro-vo last week were Val's parents, his brother Owen, and sister Wi-non Wi-non of this city, and his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Evans and family of Cedar Ce-dar City. |
