Show Kiwanians hear Xmas cheer On the first day of winter, Dec. 22, considered a day of stress because be-cause of limited daylight, Bountiful Kiwanis Club members heard how to meet stress and distress, and participated in a Santa-Aid program prog-ram for a Davis County family. Dr. Patricia "Toby" Case, counselor coun-selor for Mt. Bell Medical Department, Depart-ment, discussed how to be aware of , and do something about three, stages: (1) alarm; (2) resistance, and (3) exhaustion. Dr. Case suggested "Look at your life as a challenge; worry about ab-out things over which you have control and not about matters over which you have no control; and have a balance between mastery and challenge." We must change our belief system sys-tem to change our behavior, she added, then conducted a question and answer session. Members of the club, for the Santa-Aid project, contributed money and food to help make a Merry Christmas (including toys for the children) for a local family. |
