Mrs. Kasuga's husband gave her the Japanese paper before she came to visit in the U.S. Japanese chaperone stays with local family Tomiko Kasuga, Japanese chaperone for the Labo exchange program, is staying with the Newel and Marion Behunin home during her stay in Ver-"nal. Ver-"nal. Mrs. Kasuga will stay two weeks in Vernal along with four members of the Labo exchange program with 4-H providing pro-viding the host families. Labo is a program pro-gram to help Japanese students learn English. They will leave Vernal Sunday for Salt Lake City and will leave for Japan, Aug. 26. She said she has enjoyed her stay in Vernal, and she thought the dinosaurs and the museum were interesting. She visited the local stores, school board, and newspaper while in Vernal. She said her husband works as a type setter for a large daily newspaper in Japan. The newspaper sells for 26' and circulates about 100,000. |
