Show Party held for Japanese 4-H students VERNAL SPECIAI-Newel and Marion A. Behunin hosted a "Welcome to Vernal" party at their home Saturday night for Tomiko Kasuga and Yukiko Katayama, Hironobu Hashida, Kaoru Kaizumi, Labo exchange students from Japan. The program is a non-profit organization and is in conjunction con-junction with the Utah State University Extension 4-H program. Bryon Hardy ol Roosevelt sang "Have 1 Told You Lately" accompanying ac-companying himself on the guitar. He also played two beautiful numbers on the harmonica. Yukiko Katayama, Hironobu Hashida, Kaoru Koizumi and Tomiko Kasuga sang Shenandoah and Kokiriko. Potluck dinner, fresh raspberry ice cream and a dinosaur cake were served to the following guests: Bryce and Virginia Wasmley, Neola; Melvin Wilkins. Tomiko and the students will leave Sunday for Salt I.ake City, where they will spend Monday touring that area. They will leave for Japan August 26. |
