According to a source close to the actress. Dianne felt that such an episode, no matter how discreetly shot. would reflect badly not only on her TV character but on her off-screen image as well. Erik Estrada's manager, Helen Azevdo. confirms that the 'CHiPs' star will trade in his motorcycle for some chaps when he stars in a big-budget remake of 'The Cisco Kid' for MGM early next year. Azevdo says Erik is quite eager to do the film, which will begin filming in March or April, when 'CHiPs' goes on its annual hiatus. Why is Erik so eager to play the Latin rogue whom Duncan Renaldo immortalized via a 1950's TV series? According to Helen, 'The Cisco. Kid' offers Erik an opportunity to bring to the Big Screen a positive image of a Hispanic character. Secondly.
