Show Ballard 1 Tellntha Rasmussen Phone 722-4875 1 v . Exciting month for Thelma Womack Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Womack Jr., visited his grandmother, Thelma Womack, last week in Vernal. Here are some of the exciting things that have happened to Mrs. Womack in the past month. In July all 7 of her children and their mates came to her place to help celebrate her 82 birthday, there were 56. Two granddaughters were married in July. One great grandson was born in July and one grandson was made bishop of Ballard Ward. She also received a birthday card from President and Mrs. Jimmy Carter sent from the White House. What more could a person ask for. A reception was held for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Page, Saturday, Aug 16, in . Roosevelt. They were married Aug. 8 in the Provo LDS Temple. After a short honeymoon, they will be making their home in Roosevelt. When Robert's parents, the Zane Asays go to Samoa on their mission, the Pages will move into Ballard and live in their home. Kim C. daughter of Allen Collins and Peggy K. Linsay and Mike L. Hackford. son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hackford. were married and a reception was held at the Bottle Hollow Resort on August 16. After a short honeymoon, they will be at home in Lapoint. Funeral services were held for Louis Hall August 12, 1980 at the North Ballard LDS Church. Prelude and postlude music was by April Goodrich. Officiating and remarks were by Wesley Ercanbrack. The family prayer was given by George Allred. The opening prayer was by Boyd Winn. A musical selection "These Hands", was sung by Dorothy Peltier and Dawn White accompanied by Tex Ross. The first speaker was Calvin Jorgensen followed by Earl Allred. A musical selection, "'Home on the Range" was sung by Mrs. Peltier and Mrs. White accompanied by Tex Ross. The closing prayer was by Kenneth Hartle. Interment In-terment was in the Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery. The dedication of the grave was by Dale Nelson. Pallbearers were Bob Dean, Bruce Harvey, Edward Ed-ward Houston. Ray Hall. Gale Wilkins. Robert Mooseman, Louie Morrow and Kelly Barker. An open house was held at the Ernest Betts Jr., home on Indian Bench last Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Betts, who were married August 8 in the Manti LDS Temple. After a short honeymoon they will be making their home in Roosevelt. Special guests that came for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Collins of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Devoy Willden and daughter Stacy from Aurora. Lane and Betty Hall from Anaheim, Calif., were here visiting their son, Mr. and Mrs. Rick and Terri Hall. They spent the weekend. Mrs. Robert Youney and children of Salt Lake City and Mrs. David Lund-berg Lund-berg from Holly, Colo., spent the week here visiting at the Beatrice Lundberg home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Betts and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts, Jr., accompanied Eddie Betts and Wendy Willden through the Manti Temple Aug. 8. Mr. and Mrs. Alonso Cuch and Gwenith and Bradley spent last week at Fort Hall, Idaho attending the Fort Hall Pow Wow. Their uncle, Guy Pin-nacoose, Pin-nacoose, Sr., rode bark with them. The annual Indian Sun Dance was held at White Rocks August 15 to Aug. 1 . I There were 51 male dancers dressed in beautiful costumes. The Don White family have gone on vacation to Oregon. Michael, son' of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hall, reported his missionary experiences ex-periences in Mallard Ward last Sunday in Sacrament meeting, lie served 2 years in the Germany Frankfort LDS Mission. The Halls used to live in the Ballard area, they now live in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ilartman and two children of Roosevelt are buying the Mary Ellen Kitchen home In i'1 in Ballard. Mr. and Mrs Kit.ch'-n are moving to lYovo. |
