Hey Loft poefceSs fhiind please in stferte tfouirncomer,' Hey Loft of Vernal pocketed third place in the ASA Class B Fast Pitch State Tournament, Saturday. Sofa Factory of Salt Lake City knocked Hey Loft out of the tourney due to a 10 to 3 victory. Sofa Factory had a 9 to 0 lead after four innings of action. Patti Page and Sharon Seppi scored runs in the first inning and the Salt Lake City crew scored four more runs in the top of the second inning. Nan Binkerd led off with a single and Candy Conger drilled a base hit. Page was walked to load up the bases and Janie Myslinski got on base on an error and Bickerd crossed home plate. Seppi knocked in Conger, Page and Myslinski with a grand slam, which gave Sofa Factory a 6 to 0 lead. Hey Loft had three runners on the base paths in the bottom fo the third inning, but they failed to drive them in. Sofa Factory added two more runs in the fourth inning for a 9-0 lead. Myslinski and Seppi scored runs for the Sofa Factory in the fourth inning. . Vernal's Hey Loft cut Sofa Factory's lead to 9 to 2 with runs in the sixth in- ning Lonnie Hadlock reached first hlse and Jacque Searle was walked. Ky mTs to load UP the bas 1 Raelene Massey was walked and Hadlock crossed home plat Searle scored on a fielder's choice and Allan, Massey were forced out a home plate.
