Show Health workshop to be conducted ST. GEORGE - Birth delects and substance abuse will be discussed at the Five County Health Care Provider Workshop Nov. 20, in the Dixie College Sunroom in St. George beginning with registration at 8 a.m. The workshop is being sponsored by the Five County Subarea Advisory Council of the Utah Health Systems Agency. Anyone interested in attending the workshop should contact Utah Health Systems Agency, 19 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101, phone number 581-3476. A minimal charge is payable at the time of registration. Certification Cer-tification for continuing education credits for registered nurses and medical record technicians will be provided. Don Houston, M.D., a general surgeon practicing prac-ticing in St. George, who is a lso the president of the Governing Body of the Utah Health Systems Agency, and Stephen Bonney, executive director of the Utah Health Systems Agency w ill open the meeting. Moderator for the workshop will be Kay Sheehan, chairperson of the Utah USA's Five County Subarea Advisory Council. Featured speakers will include Robert M. Fineman, M.D., Ph.D., from the University of Utah Medical Center; Athleen Coyner, R.N., M.S., from the Utah State Department of Health; Kenneth Joseph, director of the Southern Division of the Utah Alcoholism |
