Show Industry slide show approved Also, the idea lor a brochure, to be sent to prospective industrial developers, was accepted. The brochure would be multi-fold with color coordinated paper inserts, located inside, giving detailed information about Cedar City. Hittick commented the brochure would "give a lot of information on the inside that will present all the facts about Cedar City. We want our fair share of the business available to come to Cedar City, and this brochure is going to help bring them in." CEDAR CITY - The Cedar City Industrial Development Board has decided to have the Five County Association of Governments put together a slide presentation about Cedar City to show to potential industrial in-dustrial developers. The decison for such came at the Board's meeting last week. Vaughn McDonald, Five County representative, said there should be no problem getting the slide presentation approved by his steering committee on Nov. 18. McDonald commented that the funding for the slide show will be provided by an EDA planning grant, which has extra funds available at the moment. A draft format of the presentation should be ready for review by the Industrial In-dustrial Development Board Executive Committee in early January, stated McDonald. .""The slide presentation will be professionally narrated and will be about 8 to 10 minutes long filled with hard hitting facts and information about Cedar City," according to McDonald. Mc-Donald. Various Board members responded in favor of the proposal before the actual slide decision was made. "Using their facilities and their expertise, 1 think it's a very good idea, and I would want to work with them to maintain continuity with all of our sales pitches," responded Guil Funston, Board member. Development Board Chairman Weldon Bittick commented, "We would be foolish to reduplicate any research the Five County organization has already done." In other business, the Board accepted the recommendations for a logo and a letterhead presented by Funston. |
