The musical will be presented Nov. 13, 14 and 16 at 8 p.m. in the CHS auditorium. Cedar High to present play 'Oklahoma' Nov. 13 and 14 CEDAR CITY - The Cedar High School Drama Department is presenting the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical hit "Oklahoma!", Nov. 13 and 14 and a family night performance Nov. 16. The play begins at 8 p.m. all three nights. Starring roles are played by Michael An derson as the indomitable Curly and Mary Ellen Kenney as the vivacious Laurey, in the robust love story of live on the frontier, as a two-fisted cowboy lights for his love, while the rollicking young territory struggles for it's statehood. Amid all of this is some of America's favorite music. Also starring in the cast are Lisa Heather, Chris Wheeler, Lori Morrell, David Leavitt, Loc Prestwich, Larry Hafen and Barbara Smith. The director, Richard Johnson, is pleased to have his cast of players enhanced by an orchestra under the direction of June Larsen. Jay M. Wheeler is the choreographer, with the musical direction by Judy Guhlcr. Assistant director is Colleen Johnson, who also designed the costumes. Ren Waters and John Michie serve as technical manager and assistant manager respectively. This musical comedy is suitable lor all ages and promises to be a highlight of the season, said Johnson. |
