Show Planners meet short there was some concern as to who actually owned the land. This was resolved this month, and the Commission approved ap-proved the request. Neil L. Rhodes appeared ap-peared and presented an amended vicinity plat lor the proposed Starwood Star-wood Ranch Subdivision, about one mile north of the Cedar City Airport. The Commission up-proved up-proved the plat, subject to a zone change approval that had been requested earlier. Rhodes had requested a change from an R-5 zone to an R-1 zone, forcing the homes on the proposal to be closer together and on smaller pieces of land. A hearing has tx'en set lor next month. In the last matter of business. Roy Urie requested a variance on the length of some cul-de-sacs in the Old Iron Town Subdivision, phase two. Generally, cul-de-sacs can be no longer than 400 teet; however, because of the circumstances and the layout of the subdivision, sub-division, the Commission approved some longer ones in this case. CEDAR CITY - The Iron County Planning Commission meetings seem to be getting shorter now that the group is working under the new County planning ordinances. The group lor the past year has been spending many hours in meetings working out the details of the new ordinances and dealing with developers under the old ones. However, its meeting last week was one of the shortest ever; using the new ordinances the commissioners heard and decided on three separate issues: a division of lots in Timbercrest Subdivision, Sub-division, an amended vicinity plat for Starwood Ranch Subdivision and a variance on the length of cul-de-sacs for Old Iron Town Subdivision, phase two. Richard Kimball, representing the developer, a Mr. Hen-ckel, Hen-ckel, appeared concerning con-cerning the division of two lots into three on the Timbercrest Subdivision, north of Brian Head.
