The Mazda and used car business will be holding a grand opening Sept. 11, 12 and 13. Grand opening set for Bountiful Mazda Bountiful Mazda opened its doors for business July 1, and will be celebrating a grand opening Sept. 11-13. Located at 2651 S. 500 W., Mazdas Maz-das and used cars will be the business' busi-ness' specialty. According to owners own-ers Dale Meyer and Duff Willey, Bountiful Mazda can boast of full car service and 21 full-time em-, ployees. On Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held with company VIP, the Bountiful Chamber of Commerce and citizens of Bountiful invited. A member of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce will slice the ribbon. A buffet buf-fet will also, be held for guests. Mr. Meyer, 50, said this is his first dealership. He is originally from North Dakota. He and his family moved to Bountiful from Colorado Springs, Colo, where he was working for Mazda Distribution Distribu-tion Pacific. For 27 years, Mr. Meyer has worked in the car busines . being employed by Ford, Gepv y Corporation, Cor-poration, a Chevrolet . immobile and Cadillac Dealer, Mercury-Lincoln Mercury-Lincoln and Fiat of North America, Amer-ica, he also owned a used car lot. For the past eight years, Mr. Meyer worked for Mazda as a district dis-trict sales manager. Mr. Meyer, his wife Shirley and four children are residing in Bountiful. Boun-tiful. Mr. Willey, 3 1 , is a life-time resident resi-dent of Bountiful. At 14 years-old Mr. Willey started washing cars and has been "in the car business ever since." He has worked for every ev-ery department in a dealership. In 1979, Mr. Willey joined his father in the Bountiful Ford business busi-ness and is presently in the process of buying the business from him. Mr. Willey will be managing Ford and also working for Bountiful Mazda. Mr. Willey lives in Bountiful with his wife Lori and two sons. |
