Show Viking Views: Boredom-breakers Attention all Sophomores: Petitions Peti-tions for class office will be available avail-able in the business office on the 11th also. If you plan on running, pick them up, they'll be due on Monday, the ISth and Primary Elections will be on Tuesday, the 16th. And is there a better cure for those Friday-night blues than some of that fantastic Viking Football? We all know that our football team is the best there is, but Bonneville wouldn't take our word for it, so we'll just have to teach them the rough way. That game will be at Bonneville, on the 12th at 7:30 p.m. We want to see everyone at the game. Homecoming Week is approaching rapidly. If your group would like to participate in the Homecoming Parade, and still haven't ha-ven't got an application in, contact Troy Olsen or Dennis Jolley fast. We have a new edition this year to the Homecoming festivities, a 5k race. Everyone is invited to participate partici-pate in this mini-marathon. Keep your eyes on the Clipper for more details. And. at the moment of truth, Viewmont will show East how it's done right. Then, the moment mo-ment we've all been waiting for, the Homecoming Dance sponsored spon-sored by our hard-working Senior Class. We hope to see all of you there. So, until we meet again, keep the Viking Spirit flowing! By DENNIS JOLLEY Now that everyone has caught up on all of the activities going on around Viewmont City, and just when we are beginning to fall into those awful ruts we all find ourselves in, and it seems there is no way out, that the end must be near, what should show up? Leapin' Lizzards Batman! There are even more events coming up to save us from this terminal boredom! And what may you ask are these activities? Well, first on Tuesday, the ninth, we have two courageous Viking teams that are going to show Davis that they had better just stick to darts. Yes, it's true. Now that G.R. has picked his sure-to-be-award-winning VHS Golf team, they will be hosted by the Davis Darts at 3:30 p.m. And, our other courageous Viking team, the Girls Tennis team will be matched up against the Davis girls here at 3:30 p.m. also. These girls have been practicing dilligently, despite various va-rious persons (such as myself) who like to harass the girls to ace the next serve as they drive by. Thursday, the 11th, the Golf team will be at it again, hosting Woods Cross at 3:30 p.m. |
