Show 'Cats' scheduled at City Rep. Theatre SALT LAKE CITY A presentation pre-sentation of dance and characterization character-ization will be presented Sept. 18 and 20 and Oct. 1 and 2 at the Salt Lake Repertory (City Rep) Theatre, 51 South State, Salt Lake City. The Symphony Hall production will feature 19 performers in a concert con-cert version of "Cats" which will bring those same poems and delightful de-lightful music to life. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. nightly. "Cats" was originally performed per-formed in concert at the Sydmon-ton Sydmon-ton Festival in London. It took more than three years to put the poems - each a story by itself to music and stage. Star performers will include Noel Twitched as Asparagus; Olga Gardner as Grizabella; and Cliff Cole as Old Deuteronomy. Salt Lake Repertory Theatre is in its first year of productions after being organized by Thomas W. and Joanne M. Parker who were formerly for-merly general manager and artistic director of Promised Valley Playhouse. Play-house. Tickets for the upcoming performance per-formance range from $4.50 to $12. However, there are discounts for group rates. |
