Show Legislators seek input from local residents The citizens of Davis County owe a special thanks to their legislators who took the time to attend a public meeting in Farmington to attempt to answer questions and to listen to the opinions, suggestions and ideas of their constituents. Thanks should also go to those who attended. Many people were prepared to give valuable input. People in the audience were willing to listen to each other and to wait their turn to speak. There were no boos, only applause, although the viewpoints view-points were varied. It was a time to feel good about the citizenry of Davis County and people in general. The public meeting was a good thing and those kinds of meetings should be held more often. Those who could not attend still could have their voices heard by contacting their legislators. The legislators also indicated that they read the "Letters to the Editor" section of the local papers, another avenue of expression of opinion open to everyone. Many people would probably still like to take part in the poll taken by Rep. Stan Smedley at the meeting. The questions are listed below for those who would like to mark their choices and send them on to their legislators at the capitol. What level of taxation do you support? 1.
