Show mm P0ST BASIN POST NO. 64 By Bill Murdock Youth Canteen The Youth Canteen is going great guns thanks to Chairman Kirk Benson and committee and to the Legion members and their wives who also supervised the first two Saturday nights. Jack McArthur and wife, Ed Yack and wife drew the first night and had great success, everyone having fun. Fritz Hansen and wife, and Kirk Benson and wife drew the last Saturday, which drew a bigger big-ger crowd for the night. Our .ambition for the Youth Canteen is to have a clean, wholesome whole-some and constructive program each Saturday night. We hope all young people in the sixth grade and up in the Roosevelt area ar-ea will come and participate the more the merrier. Door prizes and prizes for game winners will be given each night. Oratorical Contest The American Legion Oratorical Oratori-cal Contest is getting underway with Ken Labrum and Jack Bacon as the committee. We are looking for a winner again this year. Uintah High, Duchesne High and possibly Altamont High will compete com-pete this year for a 1st and 2nd place winner to go to the Regional Contest to be held at Westminster Westmin-ster College in Salt Lake City. Then on to the Department or State Contest to be held at the University of Utah.
