Show Mrs. Fern Houston Mrs. Delma Long has been detained de-tained in Springville on account of the illness of her father, J. P. Rudy, who has been spending the winter with his daughter, Mrs. Jim Miller. Frances Bowen has been in Salt Lake visiting her daughter, Mrs. Gwen Butterfield, for several days. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Harrison and Mrs. Allen Harrison were visitors vis-itors at the home of Lorraine Bolton. Bol-ton. The occasion was a birthday dinner for Shirley Bolton. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Extrum have moved into the Wahlquist home. They have purchased it and intend in-tend to make it their home. Otis Horrocks was in Ballard Sunday, officiating in the capacity as high priest quorum president. Mrs. Nellie Horrocks is the representative rep-resentative for the Polio Drive in this area and suggests that all who care to give to the drive take their contributions to church next Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmston were dinner guests at the Eugene Eu-gene Harmston home in Roosevelt on Sunday. The people of Bennett are happy hap-py to hear that Bishop Dan Mitchell is improving from a serious ser-ious illness. Lida Hartle stopped in Salt Lake on her way to Sacramento to visit her uncle, Fred Hartle. She is also a cousin of Mrs. Jessie Hartle Eldredge. Bishop and Mrs. Clair Haslem and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horrocks ! attended the Melchizedek priesthood priest-hood party given at the stake house Thursday evening. James Bacon gave a very interesting inter-esting talk in church, Sunday. He is the visiting high councilman for the next six months. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Coltharp are spending a week in Rangely at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nichols. While there they were entertained at a birthday dinner given by Mrs. Harold Quick, honoring Mrs. Nichols. |
