Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Surprise Party The Arcadia ward Primary officers of-ficers and teachers went out to Pleasant Valley Saturday to surprise sur-prise Mrs. Gladys Ross, one of their teachers who recently moved. mov-ed. They presented Mrs. Ross with a beautiful picture. Present were Mrs. Elsie Bird, Mrs. Gladys Cap-son, Cap-son, Mrs. Barbara Gilbert, Miss Mildred Bird, Miss Marsha Lusty, Miss Eleanor Capson, Miss Mar-va Mar-va Mae Horrocks, Mrs. Iola Rich-ens, Rich-ens, Mrs. Arta Ross, Mrs. Ora Holgate. Home-made ice cream and cake were served. A very enjoyable en-joyable afternoon was spent, including in-cluding a tour of their new home recently completed. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty received re-ceived word of a new grandson, born Jan. 19 to Mr. and Grant Peel of Altamont at the Duchesne Medical Center. This is the Peels' first son, so no wonder Grant is all smiles. They have two girls. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty, Clark Lusty, Mrs. Lois Terpening and girls visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel at Altamont, getting acquainted with the new boy. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Larsen went to Salt Lake, where Mrs. Larsen will receive medical treatment. treat-ment. Mrs. Vera Larsen is caring car-ing for the small children. BABY SHOWER Donna Larsen entertained at a baby shower Wednesday evening at the church house in honor of Mrs. Norma L. -Hadden, of Myton. Games were enjoyed by those present and refreshments served. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received. FAMILY DINNER Mrs. Lynn Ross entertained at a family dinner Saturday to celebrate cele-brate Christmas, as Mr. Ross was in the hospital at Christmas time. Present were Mr. and Mrs. E. Floyd Ross and family, Mrs. Minnie Min-nie Diehl, of Roosevelt; Mr. and Mrs. Gwen Bodily and son, of Gusher; Donna Ross, of Provo; Delmer Ross, of San Francisco; Lamar Ross, John Kelley and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross. Visitors at Sacrament meeting Sunday evening were High Coun-cilmen Coun-cilmen Orvin Moon and Kermet Poulson, of Duchesne; Mr. and Mrs. David Watkins and children, Miss Carol Sagers, of Roosevelt; and Keith Lemon, of Ioka. Mr. Watkins and Mr. Lemon were the speakers and Mrs. Watkins and Miss Sagers sang two songs.
