Show fJephi Chaiwins Mark 55 Yrs. Of Married Life TABIONA (Special) Another milestone was marked this month by Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Chatwin, who noted their fifty-fifth wedding wed-ding anniversary on January 17. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1900 and after living about seven years in Heber, moved to Tabiona in 1907, and have made their home here ever since. At 75, Mr. Chatwin still milks cows, chops wood and chores around the farm, including irrigating irrigat-ing in the summer. His wife, at 73, also still helps with the chores, cooks and keeps house for two sons and a grandson. Mrs. Chatwin Chat-win reports her husband has not felt too good for part of this winter, win-ter, but she thinks she feels better bet-ter than she did a year ago. I Mrs. Chatwin has made a wonderful won-derful contribution as historian for several years in the Tabiona Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and has encouraged many with their pioneer histories, having them read in meetings and then properly filed. She has also served as Relief Society teacher and has taught in Primary for more than thirty years and also taught Sunday School, j Mr. and Mrs. Chatwin have ten living sons and daughters, 45 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Their sons and daughters are: Mrs. Mable Clark, Altonah; William Wil-liam Chatwin and Mrs. Mary Lublin, Lub-lin, Salt Lake City; LeRoy and Melvin Chatwin, Lehi; Arnold Chatwin, Layton; Mrs. Calista De-fa, De-fa, Mrs. Jennie Jones and Gilbert and Wallace Chatwin, all of Tabiona. |
