Show I Cancer Workers Conduct Successful Lleet Last Friday, Jan. 21, the East Duchesne County Cancer workers met at the Roosevelt LDS stake house to learn more about their job of educating the people to recognize the dangers of cancer. Two local physicians, Drs. R. ( V. Larson and Paul G. Stringham, gave very interesting and informative infor-mative talks on cancers challenge, ! causes, cures, symptoms and the i future outlook of cancer to the medical world. Representing the Utah Division of American Cancer Society from ! Salt Lake City were Mr. Wallace r. Toronto and Mrs. LaVerda Morgan, field executive, who spoke on cancer and the program i of educating the people of its symptoms. , At a luncheon, held at the Frontier Grill, Mrs. Axel Birch was awarded a five year service Pin for her work in the cancer ' organization. The award was presented pre-sented by Mr. Toronto. Mrs. Morgan complimented the group for the organization and encouraged them to carry this message to the people. Mayor Paul Murphy also complimented com-plimented the workers for their efforts in educating the people about cancer and its dangers. I In the afternoon the group re- urned to the stake house where fney were shown three films deal-"g deal-"g with cancer. |
