WHITEROCKS Madeena Smith Indian Mission Presents Program Miss Rose Mary Murray, the daughter of Julius Murray, was confirmed a members of the LDS Church by President Forest Goodrich Good-rich at the meeting Sunday. The speakers at the meeting were Mrs. Edith Allred, Mary May Murray and Martha Morrill. The Indian Mission was in charge of the program. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley of Tridell, the Wilmar Parishes of Roosevelt, the Francis Croziers, and the Elbert Smiths visited Mrs. Esther Harvey at the Bill Hoops home Sunday. Eldon Anderton and Francis Crozier attended the fights in Vernal Ver-nal Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Wilson and Helen Hendricks visited relatives in Neola Wednesday. PINK - BLUE SHOWER A pink and blue shower was given Mrs. Helen Hendricks on Monday. Games were played and a delicious lunch was served by Mrs. Lila Wilson, Zella Pike and Mildred Moosman. Mrs. Hendricks received many pretty and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Twitchell attended the funeral of Mrs. Annie An-nie Atwood at Vernal Monday. A "Meet Me At Mutual" program pro-gram and square dance were enjoyed en-joyed at Mutual Tuesday night. ILL IN HOSPITAL Henderson Atwine is very ill at this writing. He is in the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith attended at-tended the high priest party at Roosevelt Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. Lam Pike and Mildred Moosman went to Roosevelt Roose-velt Wednesday evening. Mrs. Pike and Mrs. Moosman attended Leadership meeting at the stake house, while Mr. Pike attended a meeting at Fort Duchesne. Jim Twitchell took some cattle to Neola for Scott Jack, Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mrs. Edith Oberhansly attended an Indian affairs meeting at Ft. Duchesne, Wednesday. Chester Smith took a load of cattle to the auction Saturday for John Wopsock. Mrs. Eva Atwine visited, Mrs. Madeena Smith on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hoops took Mrs. Esther Harvey to Vernal on Wednesday for a medical checkup. check-up. The Bill Workman family, of Rangely, were overnight visitors at the Bill Hoops home. |
