Show Certifying Day Care Activities Set iht J i u At W. Btfl. Workshop Elementary Mothers interested in certifying cer-tifying as a day-care provider can receive a national certificate certifi-cate in one year through a program being offered by Weber We-ber State College. KAY RAWSON, vocational coordinator for the WSC department de-partment of child and family studies, said those that complete com-plete the course will receive the Child Development Associate Asso-ciate Credential," a national recognition needed to provide day-care services in Utah. Mrs. Rawson said. "The course is very comprehensive. We have some classwork on campus, faculty home visits and participants must put together a portfolio." SHE ALSO noted that the college provided workshops bimonthly to give additional training. The next workshop, which is Oct. 1 1 at 7 p.m. in room 17 of the Educational Building, is entitled "How to Dance With Children" and is open to the public. MRS. RAWSON characterized characte-rized the curriculum as "a very tough and grueling course" explaining ex-plaining that participants will be trained in cognitive learning, learn-ing, language creativity, social development and physical development.
