On top of that, alcoholism affects an estimated 90,000 lives-or equal to half the population of Salt Lake City each year, and causes an estimated $128 million in problems annually, or just under about one-third the assessed valuation of all the property in Davis County! HE STRONGLY supports the Chemical People effort that includes national one-hour telecasts Nov. 2 and 9 at 7 p.m. on Channels 7 and 11, combined with an intensive citizens grass-root effort including area town meetings to find ways at combatting the problem. Extensive liquor advertising has "brainwashed" young people, he said, calling that multi-million dollar dol-lar effort "the core of the problem at present-young people are being conditioned.
